Final Fantasy has many fans who spent all her life to look forward to the occurrence of FF VII remake of the classic PlayStation era. However, have you ever thought if in the end hope it will materialize will produce a game or even totally different than before?
It seems implicit in the statement Yoshinori Kitase, who currently serves as Producer for Final Fantasy XIII-2. In his statement, he and his colleagues on Square Enix can be will bring many changes in large scale if they eventually make a remake of one of the legendary game.
Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, Kitase explained why he would not want to do a direct port over all the content and system of the original Final Fantasy VII as a remake.
“If allowed to speak as a game creator, and if, for example-we will eventually do the remake of FF VII, I shall the highly motivated to remove a lot of things and add elements, systems or anything new because if we make something completely the same in the current, then the game is merely to repeat.”
“It will be a separate issue and would not have as much fun for us to develop a game like that. In other words, I would prefer to feel interested to re-arrange or develop a game that later would feel different even though the game is still the same.” Read more
